Wildfire Golf Club and the associates of JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa came together again to host the 13th annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Golf Tournament recently, benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This year’s golf tournament raised $32,000 to help CMN and Phoenix Children’s Hospital save and improve the lives of Arizona children.
Marriott is a long-time supporter of Phoenix Children’s Hospital and CMN, which raises funds for children’s hospitals throughout the country. About 250 players attended this year’s tournament and enjoyed a day of golf while supporting a great cause.
The picturesque Wildfire Golf Club is a multi-award winning club including “Best Courses You Can Play” by Golfweek, “Best Resort Course in the Southwest” by Travel & Leisure Golf and certification by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program.
Golfers can tee off at one of Wildfire Golf Club’s two 18-hole championship golf courses located at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.
The 18-hole, par 71 Faldo Championship Course was designed by three-time Masters and three-time British Open champ Nick Faldo. Carved into the Sonoran desert, the Faldo Course features a total of 6,846 yards, generous fairways and ample landing areas for the not-so-straight and narrow golf swing, keeping golfers out of the surrounding desert flora.
Wildfire Golf Club is also home to the par-72 Palmer Signature Course. The course features generous fairways and large, undulating bent grass greens. The vast 151-acre layout meanders through picturesque arroyos with centuries-old saguaro cactus.
Throughout the year, Wildfire Golf Club’s “Kids Golf-4-Free” program allows kids ages 15 and younger to play golf free after 3 p.m. when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Children may also enjoy a complimentary golf lesson with an adult who is taking a lesson from a Wildfire Golf Club instructor.
Wildfire Golf Club is located at 5350 E. Marriott Drive in Phoenix.
