Desert Trails Elementary School
I arrived at Desert Trails as a seasoned elementary teacher and building principal. I graduated from the University of Arizona and began my teaching career in Tucson, where I taught for three years. After having our son, my husband and I moved back to Phoenix, where I began my service in PVSchools. I taught for an additional nine years before taking on the role of instructional coach for two years and then moving into administration as a TOA/Assistant Principal at Wildfire Elementary. I was at Wildfire for two years and then earned my first principal position at Quail Run Elementary, where I served for nine years. In addition to my role as an educator, I am also a wife and mother. My son, Hunter, graduated from the University of Arizona in May with a degree in Economics with a Business Management minor. He is currently working in Tucson and moving back to Phoenix to start a new job in August.

Fireside Elementary School

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Fireside Elementary School! Fireside is an incredible community that has welcomed me with open arms and overwhelming kindness. I am excited to be part of the team working hard daily to support PVSchools’ students in their “Journey Of Excellence.” As Principal, I look forward to working together to support all students in meeting our district vision, where “students will be the leaders of tomorrow with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to realize their dreams in an ever-changing world.”

Born and raised in a coastal suburb of California, I moved to Arizona over a decade ago with my husband and two daughters. Moving to Arizona was a big change! We spend a good deal of time exploring this beautiful state and feel there is a great deal to discover. While not at Fireside, you can find me on the hiking trails, behind a good book, hanging out with my husband and daughters, or walking my dog.

I come from a long line of USC Trojans and obtained a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and a doctorate from the University of Southern California. My career in K-12 education began in 1996 in California, where I worked as both a teacher and an administrator at the site and district levels. Since then, I have been involved in many programs in both California and Arizona. I am proud to be an educator working to support and guide students through their middle school years.
