Rick Bronson’s-House of Comedy, located on High Street, is Phoenix’s newest club for comedy.  The club, owned by Valley resident Rick Bronson, is one of four other locations where top comedians from around the country perform live stand-up shows weekly. These are the same performers seen on popular Television shows such as Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Last Comic Standing and more.
Our gang of reviewers visited HOC and we were quite impressed.  The large 6,600 square foot facility is comfortable and the ideal size for an intimate show with some of today’s top stars; however, the lounge area is a little small, so if you’re meeting for a drink before the show, make sure to arrive early.  Seating is all general admission at communal tables and done at the discretion of the hostess and server.
We visited on opening weekend and the show included three separate hilarious comedians, including headliner Harland Williams – known the world over for his hilarious movie roles and outlandish stand up and sketch comedy routines in films such as “Dumb and Dumber,” “Something about Mary,” and “Half Baked”.
All of the comedians were funny and the show was as professional as any we’ve ever seen.  High Street has landed another solid entertainment venue and is quickly establishing itself as the place for fun.
