On October 20, 2012, the Desert Ridge Community Association held their first “Movie in the Park”. It was a huge success! Approximately 300 residents and their families showed up to Cashman Park to watch the featured presentation of Madagascar 3. A huge part of this success came from our community partners Nautilus, AAA Landscape, Rossmar & Graham, and Maxwell & Morgan as well as the DRCA who helped sponsor the “Movie in the Park” to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale Vestar Branch.
Who doesn’t like to have popcorn at a movie? Now add cotton candy, ice cream, soft drinks and glow sticks and you have a fun-filled night at the park! Thanks again to our Boys and Girls Club Vestar Branch who volunteered their services to also help make this night such a great success. Desert Ridge Community Association may consider putting on another “Movie in the Park” event due to the tremendous turnout from the community.
