The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale provides a safe and enriching environment for more than 18,000 local youth from various communities throughout the Valley. The need for the youth program is widely understood in the Scottsdale community with a specific outcome dedicated to educational outcomes.
“Technology is rapidly advancing and it’s crucial for our organization to stay on the cutting edge” says Paola Gale, Branch Director for the Thunderbirds Branch.
EJ Hughes, interim Senior Vice President says programs offered to the community would not be possible without partners like Cox Communications. “To our organization Cox Communications is an example of a true community partner,” he says. “They are very active in the community and their generous technology donation will benefit hundreds of local youth.”
Three of Greater Scottsdale branch sites, the Mary Ellen and Robert McKee Branch, The Thunderbirds Branch, and the Rose Lane Branch each received the equipment packages consisting of 10 desktop computers and a variety of cutting edge software that provides our members opportunities to be on the forefront of S.T.E.M. programming.
“Cox is committed to increasing the accessibility of technology for our community,” said Susan Anable, Vice President of Public Affairs, Cox Communications Southwest. “Collectively, we are working to ensure our youth are prepared to thrive in today’s digital world and excel in their future.”
