We Are Fortunate New Yorkers

We relocated from Long Island, New York, to the Desert Ridge Community seven years ago.  While we knew what we were getting into at Toscana, it took us awhile to fully realize what a beautiful community the larger community of Desert Ridge was and would become over successive years. We did have some early concerns regarding short term rentals but we understand our master association moved to get that under control back then. It is always terrific when the well thought out annual landscape that surrounds our sub-association’s landscape remains so complimentary and stays every bit as beautiful as it can be in every season. The Desert Ridge Marketplace has matured gracefully since late 2001 and we enjoy being within walking distance of great shops, restaurants and music.  Having the access to High Street, formerly City North, just across the way is not only handy but its eclectic mix of shops and restaurants makes it easy for us to entertain and impress our guests.

In addition, having easy access to highways at this “eastern edge” of the Desert Ridge Community Association “watched over area” is very convenient.  But, most of all, we cherish the wonderful people we have met and formed friendships with from near and far, both from within our sub-association community and those we’ve met at DRCA lifestyle events such as “Ladies Night Out” and “Community Night.” We enjoy receiving the helpful Desert Ridge Lifestyles Magazine and appreciate how well run and informative the DRCA annual members meetings are.  My entire family is behind the DRCA vision and consider ourselves to be so fortunate to be living in a “larger community” that has a “small town feel” yet is so well organized, maintained, and fiscally managed.  We look forward to watching our community grow and prosper in the years to come.
