In October, the Verde Canyon Railroad celebrates with local and European beers, brats, pretzels as you enjoy the fresh smell of fall in the air. The train departs every morning to enjoy the new way celebrate Oktoberfest.  


Sonoita AVA New Release Festival

Travel South to try some fine wines and visit various vineyards in the countryside riding your bicycle. This festival is an opportunity to taste new released wines and wines to be released straight from the barrel. 


Ghost Hunt in Jerome

Pumpkin Patch Train on the Grand Canyon Railways

Train departs at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. 

Tickets: $29 adults and $22 for children ages 2-15; free one and under.

The Grand Canyon station has great fall treats such as, a variety of pies, hot chocolate, and caramel apples. The Railways will take you on a tour to the countryside to a hidden pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin to take home. 


Apple Annies Corn Maze

Polar Express

Train leaves each night at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm (90 minutes)

Come aboard the Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express as it takes you to the North Pole to see Santa Claus to greet everyone young and old. Enjoy tasty chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate as a story is being told.
