Explorer Middle School Students Reflect on their Future

Students from Explorer Middle School were asked to share their feelings about going to high school.

A Different Perspective…….
What high school are you going to?
If I stay in the United States I will go to Pinnacle High School.

What is exciting about high school?
The exciting thing about high school is that it will be with different and more people that I haven’t be in school with them, different teachers, different campus, etc.
What I’m going to miss most about Explorer?
What I’m going to miss most about Explorer are the awesome teachers that I had, the activities that Explorer does ( like spirit week, red ribbon week, color run, etc. ), the elective classes, and  the food in the cafeteria.

Beyond Middle School
I’m going to be attending Pinnacle High School. I am most excited to be a part of clubs, sports, and new academic classes. I am also looking forward to 4 great years of memories and new friends.

What I will miss about Explorer Middle School is the amazing teachers and the way of teaching that they provide. I am very excited to go to high school, but I will miss Explorer very much.

Eighth Grade Memories
Hello, my name is Stephanie Sayegh. I’m fourteen years old and attend Explorer Middle School. This August I will be attending high school as freshmen. I am really going to miss Explorer Middle School as an individual because the teachers and students are amazing here. Everyone is so kind and the teachers will do anything in their power to help you. Right now I am in the decision of either going to Notre Dame Preparatory or going to Pinnacle High School. I am really hoping that next year will be a great year even though I am going to be attending a new school. I plan to make the year the best and meet new people! I really look forward to starting school early so that we can leave early. As much as I love Explorer I know that it’s time for me to leave and experience new things that will prepare me in life!

High School and Beyond
The high school I will be attending is Brophy College Preparatory. The thing I will miss most about Explorer Middle School are the teachers. The reason I choose teachers is that they helped me succeed in my 7th and 8th grade school years. They were always giving up their time to help me if I was struggling with a concept. I will miss everything at Explorer and I am very excited for high school!

Middle School Gone….High School Beginnings
I am currently enrolled to attend Pinnacle High School home of the Pioneers. I am looking forward to meeting new people and being able to be in their new and improved elective classes. I will miss some of the teachers at Explorer. They really helped me succeed academically. I am very excited for Pinnacle but it will take some acclimating to get used to the atmosphere and my schedule. Overall, I think it will be a great experience and I will miss my friends and teachers here at Explorer, but it is time for a new adventure!

A New Experience
Since I am an 8th grader at Explorer Middle School, I will be moving onto high school next year and there are many things I am excited about, as well as things I will miss about Explorer. For example, I will miss seeing all the teachers that have taught me throughout my 8th grade year, and I will also miss the fun activities and events at Explorer. Going into Pinnacle High School soon, I look forward to many things such as having new teachers, meeting new people, and walking around a new campus. Overall, I will miss Explorer Middle School, but I cannot wait to experience high school!

A Fresh Start
My name is Mariah Maloof and I am thirteen years old. Next year I will be starting my freshman year at Pinnacle High School. I am really looking forward to a fresh start, meeting new people, and getting out of school at 2:10 everyday! Even though I’m excited for high school, I’m still going to miss Explorer. Explorer really prepared me for high school and other challenges in life. Even though I’m going to miss my friends, I’m really going to miss the teachers. They were always there for me if I needed help and took their time making sure I understood the lesson. Even when I’m not at Explorer anymore, I know that the teachers will do just as well preparing their new students for high school as they did for me!
