The Spas
There is, of course, Massage Envy in the Marketplace which is relatively new as well as the very established Spa at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge and other services that include massage around Desert Ridge.
Massage Envy is located between Kohl’s and DSW in the Marketplace and offers packages for friends and/or family or for yourself not only for massage but for facials and feet as well. They offer discounts for Military folks and have the following types of massage:
• Swedish Massage
• Deep Tissue Massage
• Reflexology
The spa at the JW Marriott is called Revive. Revive Spa’s 28,000 square feet and has 41 well-appointed treatment rooms that have a diverse menu of spa experiences. Guests are invited to unwind in separate male and female indoor relaxation rooms and private patios.
Revive Spa features the Sanctuary lap pool and a full-service Salon featuring hair cuts, color, manicures, and spa pedicures. Revive Spa has been recognized by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine readers as one of the Top Resort Spas in the US.
Close by our Marketplace is the Arizona Day Spa on 62nd and Bell Road, Rolfing Center on Tatum just south of Bell and Elements Therepeutic Massage on Scottsdale Road just north of Pinnacle Peak.

Did You Know…..that we have a movie theatre in Desert Ridge and many other theatres near our community?
Movie Theatres
We are fortunate to have a movie theatre available to us here with our very own AMC Desert Ridge 18 right in the Marketplace. We also have a Harkins theatre in the Scottsdale 101 shopping center at Scottsdale and the 101. Just south of the Scottsdale 101 is the iPic Theatre (one of the new theatres that serves food right at your very plush seats) which is in the Scottsdale Quarter. A few exists east of that is the Studio Movie Grill which also offers in-theatre dining and is located off of Frank Lloyd Wright and Hayden. Just southwest of Desert Ridge along Bell Road, off of 32nd Street is another Harkins theatre. And, we have an AMC Deer Valley which is west of the I 17 right off of Beardsley. Aren’t we lucky to have so many, so close to our neighborhood?

The closest place for riding to Desert Ridge is MacDonald’s Ranch. It is located in the tranquil Sonoran Desert in north Scottsdale, Arizona, just north of Pinnacle Peak on Scottsdale Road. MacDonald’s Ranch offers activities for individuals, small parties, large conventions or corporate gatherings. You can choose from Guided Horseback rides, Hayrides & Cowboy Cookouts, and also available are many varieties of Entertainment (www.macdonaldsranch.com)
If you go a little further north to Cave Creek you can find many stables available for lessons and riding in that beautiful area. One of those is Spur Cross Stable.
