“Amazing”……..”WOW”……..”Over-The-Top”………”Fantastic” — All words that we heard throughout December from friends, neighbors and visitors to describe the festive Holiday Decorations in Desert Ridge. This year’s “Holiday Lighting & Decorating Contest” was a huge success and the biggest to date! Over 40 entries were judged and the top Five (5) were awarded various gifts, from generous supporters like; the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, The MIM and the Desert Ridge Marketplace.
As we traveled the neighborhoods to view the homes of the families who entered the contest, we were amazed at how many families didn’t participate, but had beautiful decorations. If you have any neighbors who share in your enthusiasm to decorate their home during the holidays, please encourage them to enter the contest later this year. Following the judging of the contestants, The Community Association sent out an email blast to Desert Ridge homeowners letting them know how to request a list, along with a map of the entries……The response was overwhelmingly positive! The list and accompanying map made the journey through the winding neighborhoods of Desert Ridge much easier to view and the 40 homes that were part of the contest could be visited and admired in under two hours!
Thank you again to all of this year’s participants. We look forward to seeing even more entries later this year, for our 6th Annual Event! Also, we encourage you to look for an exciting announcement in the Fall Edition of Desert Ridge Lifestyles Magazine……This announcement is sure to get the family feeling festive!
