Wildfire Elementary School

We are having a wonderful 2nd semester at Wildfire Elementary School. There have been so many great events and lessons this semester. We started off the new year with a visit from the Fox 10 Morning Show and Cory McCloskey, where we had the opportunity to showcase our school and amazing students, staff, and community to the whole valley. Arizona Music Fest brought a mariachi band, taught about the instruments, and put on a fantastic performance for our students. It was such a fun, interactive, and educational event. At recess time, our students are enjoying our new 9 square in the air game. So much so, that the school is looking at purchasing a second game set so more students can play at one time. For Valentine’s Day, our amazing PTO put on a wonderful dance, Ties & Tiaras, for our community who had a great time dancing the night away.

While we have had a lot of fun so far this semester, we also have a lot to look forward to as we finish the 3rd quarter and move to the end of the year.

We are working hard in the classroom to prepare for the AzMERIT and AIMS Science State assessments taking place in April. Outside of the classroom, students are practicing and gearing up for the Paradise Valley District Field Day competition where Wildfire students will compete against the best athletes the rest of the district has to offer and our band & strings students will be performing at PV Mall for the Sights & Sounds of PV Schools Arts Festival.

Students in all grade levels will take their learning outside of the classroom and building by attending various field trips such as Friendly Pines in Prescott, the Butterfly Wonderland, and learning about the business world at BizTown from Junior Achievement.

We are continuing our partnership with the Arizona Science Center to help us move toward our goal of creating a world-class STEAM program at Wildfire Elementary School. We are working towards having all students, from Pre-K to 6th-grade, to engage daily in the engineering design process and continue to develop their 21st-century skills.

We are currently accepting enrollments and open enrollment applications for our fantastic kindergarten program for the 2020-2021 school. We invite prospective students and their families to come tour Wildfire, see our classrooms and meet our amazing staff.
