The Mysterious Background on Spring Break

Have you ever wondered why do we have Spring Break? Now, we all love the time of the year when the flowers bloom, and the perfect temperature at the perfect time.When we are all on spring break, we have places, sceneries that feel like you are in a floral paradise. Also with Easter coming we get ready to find colorful easter eggs that you may find candy inside it’s wonderful vivid egg. The perfect time of the year to express yourself and be free in the beautiful daylight. The thing is don’t you wonder why, what, where, and when Spring Break was born, because if we didn’t have Spring Break we wouldn’t get to enjoy these things.

The history behind begins about 2,000 years ago in the time of Ancient Greece. A long time ago they used to have a festival for the god, Dionysus, the god of wine and partying.The festival had singers, dancers, and people would dance for three days in which women would put on flower crowns and where basically everything they wore was floral. The men would do challenges like who can drink a cup of wine the fastest. A few years later, The Rise of Christianity in Greece began and stopped the festivals.

The Spring Break we all have now is to relax inside our cozy homes, watch Netflix, and sleep a lot. The sun shines brightly on a lovely spring day. The great feeling of having no school and all the fun that can happen in one day. The vivid colors from the flowers, and the warmth of all this happiness all started with a simple festival.
