Statesman Properties
A family-owned and operated real estate development company, Statesman owns 50 acres of land within the Desert Ridge master-planned community located on Deer Valley Road between 52nd and 56th streets. With more than $300 million in residential development underway, The Luxe Condo Living occupies 10 acres on the west side of the property while Montreux Luxury Apartments and The Manor Village Senior Living Center are situated on the east. They are separated by Toscana of Desert Ridge, Statesman’s nearly-sold-out condominium community.
The company’s success didn’t come from adhering to a blueprint. Diversification has been paramount to the company’s success. During the recession that began in 2008, when 80 percent of Phoenix development firms failed, The Statesman Group survived, thanks to its eclectic mix of projects. “We deal with a wide range of demographics, including multigenerational buyers, investors, renters, luxury clients, and seniors. The Luxe
The Luxe, a $145 million luxury condominium community located within the sought-after Desert Ridge neighborhood. The Luxe will be comprised of two- and three-bedroom floorplans and customizable penthouse units ranging in size from 1,636 to 2,281 square-feet, priced from the high $600,000s. The community will feature 223 condominiums that sit within six, four-story buildings once completed. The first two buildings in the initial phase will be completed Spring 2021.
“With The Luxe, we’ve culminated our 40 years of multifamily experience to create a community that caters exactly to what our buyers have asked for over the years,” said Alana Mann, President and Owner of The Statesman Group. “One of the most-common requests is to find a solution for sound mitigation in condo buildings. We’ve found that the typical steel structure at other high-end developments around the Valley is not superior when it comes to reducing sound between residences. At The Luxe, we created a brand-new ‘super structure’ by incorporating wood and eight-inch, post-tension concrete slabs with sound absorbing mechanisms to reduce the noise homeowners will encounter from their neighbors. This is one of many upgrades buyers can expect at The Luxe.”
Each residence will feature modern, open living spaces with great rooms; expansive kitchens with built-in ovens, drop-in stovetops and oversized islands; large walk-in closets; and two enclosed underground parking units with storage and an optional garage gate for privacy. Homes at The Luxe will bring the outdoors in with massive cascading doors that open out to some of the Valley’s largest condominium patios complete with an optional outdoor kitchen, plus views of the water features, pool, courtyard and green spaces.

Montreux Luxury Apartments
Montreux Luxury Apartments is comprised of 335 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments ranging in size from 805 to 1,518 square feet with rental pricing starting from $1,650 per month. “For Montreux, we conducted a number of focus groups to determine what prospective residents liked, disliked and wanted to see in the current multifamily market in the Valley and found that storage, sound and parking we’re the three biggest issues often associated with apartments,” said Alana Mann. “We were able to take that feedback to design and develop Montreux to feature condominium-like apartments that are larger and unlike anything else in this area with first-to-market, air-conditioned storage for larger items like Christmas trees and golf clubs attached to most units; secure underground parking; and extensive measures put in place to mitigate sound.”
Montreux features modern, open living spaces with gourmet kitchens featuring white Quartz countertops, built-in microwave and dishwasher, stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry; large walk-in closets; and enclosed underground parking units with additional storage available. Residences will also offer expansive patios and balconies with urban, south-facing views and all top-floor penthouses will feature 12-foot ceilings. The Manor Village
“The creation and development of The Manor Village is one of Statesman’s proudest endeavors. The Manors will offer a collection of 196 independent-living, assisted-living and memory-care suites that will feature a variety of floorplans ranging in size from 446 to 1,043 square feet. Suites will be equipped with a full kitchen, stackable washer and dryer and a state-of-the-art, emergency call and response system. The Manor Village offers a tailored experience for residents with a variety of professional services including a mobility specialist to create custom exercises suitable for seniors; a health and wellness team who personalize wellness plans; an executive chef and culinary team to prepare balanced, gourmet meals using local, farm-fresh ingredients; a massage therapist; a sleep expert; and a pharmacist experienced in geriatric medicine. Residents also have access to a wide range of weekly activities from yoga and Tai Chi classes to fun social events and off-site outings. The lifestyle and services offered at The Manors are designed to meet the changing needs of each resident while allowing them the time to focus on their favorite pastimes adding life to years and years to life. The Manor Village will be completed for occupancy Winter of 2020.
