We request that everything in the green trash container is bagged and tied and that the lid is closed when it is placed out for collection.

Blue Recycling Container RULES

All items in the blue recycle container should be loose (not bagged), clean and dry. The only exception to the “no bags” rule is for shredded paper. It should be placed in a CLEAR plastic bag.

Acceptable items are:

  • All hard plastic containers including buckets, plastic jugs and bottles with or without caps.
  • Cardboard, food boxes, frozen food boxes, junk mail, wet strength chipboard, paper board, 6/12-pack holders, newspaper, magazines, phone books and juice boxes.
  • 
Glass bottles, jars and any food grade glass containers.
  • Aluminum cans, metal cans, small metal appliances and empty aerosol cans, (No paint, pesticides or oven cleaners).

The following items cannot be placed in your blue recycling container:

  • Plastic bags (instead take plastic bags your local grocery store and place in a “Bag Central Station” container to be recycled)
  • Diapers
  • 
Clothing
  • Grass
  • Yard waste
  • Food waste
  • #6 foam
