Desert Ridge Restaurant Review – Sfizio
Sfizio Modern Italian Kitchen is a family-owned business located at 21050 N. Tatum Boulevard. This restaurant is more than your average Italian restaurant, but it’s anything but ordinary! Chef Rocco Pezzano brings Desert Ridge an authentic, fresh taste of southern Italy to every dish prepared. This restaurant delivered an extraordinary experience to all guests at an excellent value. This restaurant is an ideal place to dine, any day of the week where reservations are not needed but recommended for special occasions.

The friendly waitresses were pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu items. When asked about a dish, the waitress provided recommendations based on the guest’s taste.
Sfizio Modern Italian Kitchen can seat groups of up to 120 guests. Our group of seven was seated comfortably and served punctually. We did not have to wait long for the meals to arrive at our table. This is a fantastic location for business lunches to socialize, indulge, and celebrate.
Our group started with the Chef’s Board, a filling recommended dish with imported Italian meats, cheeses, olive medley, roasted red peppers, assorted dried fruits, nuts, and grilled bread. This starter serves a group of 2-4, so we ordered two. While we tasted most of the menu items, here are our group’s consensus favorites.
For those that enjoy seafood, The Shrimp Ravioli was prepared with hand-crafted ravioli stuffed with shrimp, zucchini, cheese, and a creamy red sauce (salsa rosa) that was perfectly prepared and not very heavy.
American Stone-Fired Pizza
Pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, San Marzano tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
Lasagne Al Forno
Handmade lasagna, three meat Bolognese ragu, bechamel sauce.
Pasta Tuscan Style
Spaghetti with grilled chicken, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, light butter sauce.
Frutti Di Mare
Mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, light spicy red sauce.
House Salad
Tuscan chopped salad, with house -made croutons, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, herb vinaigrette.
Tagliatelle Bolognese
Fresh handmade tagliatelle pasta and house Bolognese sauce.
Pollo Parmigiana
Breaded chicken, side of spaghetti with fresh San Marzano tomato sauce.
All we can say about these savory meals is to bring a big appetite because the portions were a perfect size, the presentations were eye-popping, and as for mouthwatering taste, we couldn’t stop eating.
Our panel of culinary enthusiasts were highly impressed with the service. We found the staff friendly ,attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We welcome Sfizio Modern Italian Kitchen to Desert Ridge, and all panelists vowed to return.
