PINNACLE GIRLS LACROSSE CLUB
Wins Seventh State Title

The Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Club Program celebrated another successful 2019 Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association this spring season by securing its seventh state title at Seton Catholic High School on the evening of May 3 vs. Chaparral High School. Coming off a double overtime loss at a strong Notre Dame Prep team in the final regular season game, the girls came back strong in the semifinal playoff to avenge the loss and defeated Notre Dame Prep 14-3. Lead by our new head coach Lisa Ojea and her staff of Elizabeth Kinner who were both at Louisville and mainstay holder overs, Larissa B. Murdock and Reggie Younger Jr. secured a regular season record of 14 wins and 2 losses. Coach Ojea stressed the importance of a premier lacrosse program combining the Varsity and both Junior Varsity teams creating a unique culture for our community. Her playing experience at James Madison University and her coaching experience led the way for a defensive minded team.
On the 2019 Junior Varsity campaign, Larissa’s JV White team secured an undefeated season with a record of 11-0 and Reggie’s JV Blue team improved to eight wins and three losses.
The girls were down early in the championship game 4-1 as the #1 seed Chaparral who split the regular season with Pinnacle, had quick scores but the defense regrouped and Pinnacle lead at halftime 6-4. After Chaparral closed to tie the game at 9-9, the Pinnacle girls dug deep and pulled out and 11-9 victory to secure the championship. During the championship run, the team scored 25 goals while only giving up 12. Several Alumni players and coaches attended the game, and we’re proud of how the team had come together.
The Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Club plays in the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association for grades 9-12 within the Pinnacle and Paradise High School boundaries. For
