Dear Desert Trails Community,
It is hard to believe another school year has wound down. Thank you for your amazing community support at Desert Trails Elementary! Our students experienced great gains academically, socially, and emotionally. From August 7th-May 23rd we had a lot to celebrate. One of our students won the regional Spelling Bee, another created a design for a sculpture that is now displayed at the front of our school, students traveled far and wide on exciting field trips, we received a Social/Emotional curriculum from Sanford Harmony, and DTES was named one of the top 50 schools in Arizona by Schooldigger.com. The list goes on!
Of course, we couldn’t have achieved any of this without the amazing support from our community, high parent involvement, and hard working staff. Throughout the year our Parent Teacher Organization supported our teachers and raised funds for our school through community events like Hawkfest, book fairs, Bingo Night, and more.

I want to wish all of our families and community a fantastic summer. Thank you for all you have done for Desert Trails this school year.
