Join in an Evening of Scottish Tradition at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa
Scottsdale, Ariz. (Jan. 25, 2016) – Celebrate a wee bit of Scotland in Scottsdale and raise a toast to Arizona’s best bagpipers at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa’s Solo Pipe Jam Competition and Glenmorangie Scotch Tasting from 7 to 9 p.m. March 18.
The event, which will kick off Arizona’s 52nd Annual Glenmorangie Scottish Gathering and Highland Games, will feature performances by many talented bagpipers and drum majors who display their pageantry and well-honed musical skills in solo piping, solo drumming, and in pipe bands.
In addition to viewing the competition, guests can enjoy a variety of Scottish-inspired foods, including Scottish Meat Pies, Lamb Sliders, Loch Duart Salmon, cured pork loin, a selection of cheeses, smoked oysters topped with a cucumber slaw, a smoked trout dip, gourmet popcorn, sticky toffee pudding and Cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert.
Those who are 21 or older also can learn about Glenmorangie whiskies and sample an array of the brand’s offerings from the Highlands of Scotland.
Admission to the Pipe Jam, which includes the Scottish menu and two drink tickets, is $49 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity) or $32 per person for tickets that do not include alcoholic drinks.
