Arizona Bike Week rolls into town

Arizona Bike Week rolls into town

WestWorld   |   April 1– 5, 2020   |   azbikeweek.com

With the arrival of our amazing spring weather, also comes a plethora of events and festivals. Each weekend we have an array of entertainment options.  You should definitely include Arizona Bike Week in your April leisure time activities.  Arizona Bike Week (or ABW as it’s referred to in the riding community) is a celebration of all things motorcycle, but even non-riders will be blown away by everything this event has to offer.

Start with a couple hundred vendors purveying everything from high quality jewelry and leather goods, to custom furniture and flags.  Of course there’s plenty of motorcycle parts and accessories as well.

There is a variety of stunt shows and motorcycle demonstrations.  Street stunts, aerial stunts, safe riding demos and more. If you’ve never been to a motorcycle rally, you’ve most likely never witnessed the extreme riding skills these performers exhibit.

At ABW you can see some unbelievable rolling art. Just a stroll through the parking lot provides an amazing display.  But if you want to see the best of the best, check out the bike shows. There are three different shows where the participants show off their custom rides to compete for trophies and prizes. The bike shows cater to every class and category you can imagine, including a show just for women riders.

Live music is a staple of the biker world. During ABW the great North Hall on the grounds of WestWorld is transformed into the “HandleBar Saloon”, making it the biggest biker bar in the state for that week. You can swing by the HandleBar Saloon whenever you’re ready to sit down, grab a bite and a cold one and rock out to some great local bands. The vibe is fun and friendly and the party in the HandleBar goes on well into the night, with wild and crazy contests and games at
the after-hours parties.

All of this incredible entertainment is just a prelude to the main attraction.  Each night culminates in a huge concert!  Some previous acts include ZZ Top, Shinedown, Doobie Brothers, Heart, Godsmack, Korn, George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Social Distortion, just to name a few.

Of all the amazing elements at Arizona Bike Week, the most incredible is the price of admission. The Event Pass, that gets you access to all days, all shows and even all four concerts is under seventy bucks!  You can get single day passes as well but if you’re planning on attending for more than one day/concert, some quick math will tell you that the Event Pass for all five days is the way to go.

This will be ABW’s 24th annual rally and it has grown to be one of the top five motorcycle events in the country. WestWorld has been its home for nineteen of the events. The massive event park provides the perfect setting for riders who come from all across the US and fill up the plentiful camping lots.

If you haven’t attended a motorcycle event before, there’s no need to be intimidated. You’ll be amazed by what a fun loving, welcoming group they are. There’s no judgement in this community. If you don’t know anything about their world, they’ll be happy to tell you about it. There are numerous charity aspects mixed in with the festival.  Bikers are very philanthropic folks. Day time activities are family friendly but some of the night time elements are a little more adult in nature.  All aspects of the event are safe and well organized.

Arizona Bike Week 2020 runs Wednesday, April 1st through Sunday, April 5th. Gate times vary by day. WestWorld is located at 16601 N Pima Road in Scottsdale. For more information go to: azbikeweek.com.
